ICT as an Informative Tool

Informative tools are resources that help learners find and use a wide range of information. They include things like written content, sound recordings, pictures, videos, animations, and charts. These tools support various ways of learning and help students become more independent in their studies.

How do I integrate informative tools in my personal life?

One of the most common ways I use these informative tools is, I use google chrome to browse for information. It helps me in browsing for information by providing a fast, secure, and user-friendly platform to access websites and online content. Chrome loads web pages quickly and efficiently which makes it easier and faster to access online information. It also protects users with features like safe browsing and automatic updates. Chrome also let us sync our bookmarks, history, passwords, and setting across various devices using our google account. I also use Google to check the weather so I can plan my day if I need to go out. I often watch funny and informative videos when I am bored. Therefore, these informative tools have become useful part of my life.

How do I integrate informative tools in my professional life?

As a university student preparing to become a teacher, I often use informative tools to support my studies and improve my skills. I watch learning videos and tutorials on YouTube, and I use Khan Academy to help me learn how to explain topics clearly. For making presentations, I use tools like Google Docs, Google Slides, and PowerPoint to create neat and creative materials. To make lesson plans, I also refer REC page to get ideas on lesson planning and also to refer the curriculum and instructional guidelines. These tools help me understand my subject matters more easily, keep up with new ideas, and get ready for my future job as a teacher.

Disadvantages of Informative tools

Informative tools are helpful, but they also have some problems. If we use them too much, we may become too dependent on technology, and any technical problem can stop us from learning. While using the internet, we often see ads or unrelated content that can distract us and waste time. There is also too much information online, which can make it hard to pick the right and trusted ones. Spending a lot of time looking at screens can hurt our eyes, cause headaches, and affect our health. Some informative tools collect personal and sensitive data which leads to potential privacy breaches. Not only that, not all the tools provide accurate and verified information which can lead to misinformation. While informative tools are helpful, it is important to use the tools wisely and critically.
